June 8

Today is

World Ocean Day

#Protect30x30

Although we dedicate every day to the oceans, June 8, World Ocean Day, is naturally one of the most important days in our calendar. This year, we are supporting The Ocean Project's Protect30x30 initiative that aims to protect at least 30% of our land, waters and oceans by 2030. Seaweed cultivation as an alternative to fishing can make an important contribution to this goal.

Our impact

01

122 tons of tuna saved

by simply leaving them alone. This is equivalent to 29,774 skipjack tuna that can continue to swim peacefully in the water!

02

124 tons of bycatch avoided

since the introduction of our BettaF!sh TU-NAH products. Tuna fishing also endangers many other species and harms marine ecosystems.

03

11 tons of seaweed used

in our BettaF!sh TU-NAH Sandwiches, Spreads and Pizza TU-NAH. By using as much seaweed as possible, we are establishing seaweed as a sustainable alternative to fishing

04

1.32 tons of CO2 absorbed

by our seaweed — the equivalent of an 8,770 km car journey! This is how we actively contribute to the fight against climate change.

Psst, something big is coming!
